To kill the goose that lays the golden eggs

Gold has been the dream of humans since the day we start to work with it. The Bible speaks about King Midas which God gave him the power to turn everything he touched into gold, obviously this initial blessing it became a curse because to transform all in gold, he was starved, gold does not eat. Despite this warning Biblical trying to explain the difference between value and price, gold has historically been an obsession. We has drilled, searched and kill for it, whole mountains have been torn down and auger abyss which we can be seen from space. During the Middle Ages there was a group of intrepid wises who wanted to imitate the legendary king and they searched the Philosopher's Stone which turns lead into gold, we now know that this is possible thanks to the Atomic physics* but to mixt tears of Owl and mustache toad they were far from their objective. Today we are continuing hoarding gold, which buys goods and souls for nothing.

I do not want to talk about it. Similarly there is also the myth of Midas is the hen that lays golden eggs. One day it was born a chicken that gave lays golden eggs obviously that enriched its owner, but one day hungry, pride or any other reason being killed without a source of wealth and was again poor. The story tries to show us two things: first that we should respect that makes us earn a living, and second that the wealth is giving for continued income and wealth point to not renew just run out. 
Unfortunately it difficult to know what is the golden goose that keeps us. History is full of examples where an action brought wealth first and foremost, in the end completely ruined the author had died because their main source of revenue. This complication lies in two components. The first is ignorance of the true origin of the resource: we have a source of water which leaves in a fountain at the side of a mountain, but the water is coming from somewhere, kilometers uphill we build a house and the basis we discover a vein of water which can damage the building; to solve the problem we drain the vein, but days after the source will wipes. The second not know or have misunderstood what the actual resource that gives you wealth: illegal growers hide cannabis plants in closed rooms, which create an artificial atmosphere and illuminate the plants with violet light, photosynthesis absorbs red light which is why plants are green, therefore violet light does nothing, luckily to growers the monochromatic light lamp does emit a lot of kind of radiation including a red that is what makes living plants, one day they install violet LED which makes light extremely monochromatic then plants die and they won’t know why.
Currently there is some mixture of these two problems. On one hand we do not know the mechanisms that drive subtle nature, which we despise because second-order and limited influence; and the other we believe that we have overcome the dependence on nature and can survive in a world completely artificial and even be able to recreate it.
Obviously we are very far from this chimera, in fact we are part of nature, despite us evil, and its destiny and evolution is ours. I mentioned earlier the problems of the space race ( the moon and the dream is still far away ), and they basically are the difficulty of having a vital support to people in space, there are only a minimum to survive in the limited space of the ship and not much time but there may be sick. Even living on a planet similar to Earth as Mars is impossible without a spacesuit in a few seconds would be very dehydrated and frozen in advance suffocated and burned by UV. We have totally dependent on air, water, temperature and atmospheric protection, but continue abusing the air, climate and the water as if they were things that were not with us.
However we are not aware of things ‘lower’ order can be important, especially when you let pass the time. All processes and interdependencies of our nature are evolving in nonlinear form. As I explained in "Really are temperatures stopping its rice?" how these mechanisms with regard to the climate, but the other components of our ecosystems work similarly. But we continue indiscriminately to kill insects, plants unproductive and other things, we don’t bother looking at what we do wrong to our own interests.
In other hand lower order are also smaller so we think. The mass of specimens of any species of ants is ten times greater than that of all mankind, and there are thousands of species of ants. Arthropods exceed more than 100 times the mass of all vertebrates, although generally smaller, and this is pathetic if the mass of arthropods compared with the mass of any of the millions of species of bacteria there are on the planet. But we only look at our magnitude order beings or higher and therefore we don’t have the slightest idea of how nature is really.
Today who studies nature has begun to reveal a huge and important world hidden from our eyes myopic, but how is the real operation of it, quite far from what we thought. These experts warn that we try wandering with our approach and much of what we believe is completely wrong. An example is the European problem which bees are being killed by insecticides for crops, and not being pollinated plants do not bear fruit. But of course nobody listens, because behind this there are the interests of manufacturers of pesticides, fertilizers and seeds, they now have too much money invested in research of their purchases, and they don’t stripped it all away. 
Nature, this world full of insects, bacteria and other bugs considered undesirable, is our golden chicken through ignorance that we killed many times, but most of them for greed. We destroy rainforests to grow when they are many orders more productive than our fields because of its diversity. Also destroy uncultivated areas to bring 'progress' when all you bring is dirt. Until now, natural areas, the most abundant than agricultural and urbanized, gives us the wealth that we feel out of our lands, but today we have not only drastically reduced these to a few reservations but we are dirtying, maltreating and harassing to extract the things that we consider wealth, but in fact have nothing to do with either the natural wealth nor what we bring to survive.
Mankind is wrong. We're not in the Anthropocene  as some pretend, because we are believing  that we modeling nature but really we are molest it, and one of these days nature will go out of its kingdom as the way that it always has done: to extinguish us. We haven’t  power or control over nature, and it's almost an insult to the intelligence concept of geoengineering. But meanwhile we get through this flaunting arrogance and swagger, and poultry as the beginning of the writing we will kill our goose of golden eggs because we believe that it isn’t necessary

 

*Gold or lead only difference the number of protons that make up its core (79Ou 82Pb). I must say that energy to add X proton gold doesn't worth the price difference between them, in other hand the reverse reaction is energetically more favorable which means that gold is more likely to become not lead to vice versa.
